Required Fees:

This residence permit is granted for a fee of 1593.10 EGP.

Authorization of a temporary three-year residence permit:

This residence of three-years renewable for foreign nationals of the following categories:

• Foreign national spouses to Egyptian women.
• Children of the following categories:
(A) Minor children who are authorized for the special, and the ordinary residence permits, similar to their fathers, in case of the father’s death.
(B) Children who have reached the age of majority, whom fathers are authorized for special, ordinary, and three-year residence permits, only if means of living are provided.
(C) Palestinian male children who have reached the age of majority whom fathers work in the administration of the governor or retired and have finished their study in the country and do not therein.
• Government, public authorities, public sector companies and Business Sector employees.
• Palestinians working in the administration of the Governor and those of which who are retired.
• Palestinians holders of travel documents issued by the Egyptian authorities who have previously resided for a period of 10 years, and have means of living in the country.
• Foreigners receiving monthly pension from the National Authority for Insurance and Pensions, or from the Public Authority for Social insurance.
• Elderly people staying in nursing homes.
• Refugees registered in the UNHCR.
• Political refugees.
• Widow of a foreign national authorized for the special and the ordinary residence permits.
• Wives and children of foreign nationals exempted from restrictions and residence permits.
• Foreigners who have lost their right in acquiring special or ordinary residence permits.
• Foreigners working for the Swiss Institute for Architectural and Archaeological Research in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
• Foreigners who are authorized for the three-year residence permit according to international agreements.
• Persons granted three-year residence permit upon the approval of the Minister of Interior.
• Wives and children of foreigners authorized for the three-year residence permit according to the previously mentioned cases.
• Owners of real estate worth of (200.000 USD).
